Q: What is the TxtVox Publisher Network?
A: TxtVox Publisher Network is an open community of blog and newsletter publishers
delivering their content to mobile subscribers using our platform. It permits you
to easily "mobilize" your subscriber base and deliver relevant information effortlessly
to handsets without any investment in development, connectivity or customer service.
Finally, it allows you to generate additional revenue by sharing in the profits
generated from small advertisements placed alongside the content on mobile browsers
and in text messages.
Q: Why should I join the TxtVox Publisher Network?
A: Joining today will allow you to immediately offer mobile services to your blog
or newsletter readers without any investment or delays. Within minutes, you can
embed a small signup widget on your site and readers can opt‐in to receive mobile
alerts when new posts or issues are available. Convenience for them and a new revenue
stream for you.
Q: How hard is it to integrate with the Network?
A: We make it very easy to start mobilizing and monetizing your content. You can
give us the URL to your blog and post a little code snippet on your site allowing
readers to subscribe to mobile alerts. Or you can use our API and have complete
access to our back office. Either way, you can be sending messages within minutes.
Q: How much money can I make?
A: There are no upper limits on your earnings. If you actively promote your mobile
alerts, many of your subscribers will sign up for the service. Each message we send
will include a small ad. You are entitled to up to 50% of the revenue generated
from those ads. If you elect to make your content available to other TxtVox subscribers,
we will share with you 25% of the revenue generated. Sort of like found money for
your blog or newsletter.
Q: How do I keep track of my subscribers and earnings?
A: Each Publisher account comes with a sophisticated online reporting system allowing
you to monitor performance of your mobile eco‐system. You can review signups, message
activity and revenues 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Q: How will my readers receive their messages?
A: The TxtVox platform will automatically divide each message into two parts: a
text message providing a brief digest of the post or article with a link to a mobile
WAP page containing the rest. This WAP page is properly formatted for most popular
devices including iPhone, BlackBerry, Mobile Opera browsers and most other cell
phones from makers such as Motorola, Nokia, Samsung, Sony Ericsson and others.
Q: I publish a lot of articles. Will my users get tired of too many messages?
A: When your readers subscribe, they will be able to select how many messages per
day they wish to receive. They can also visit their Account page on the TxtVox site
at any time to manage the delivery frequency, add new subscriptions or even cancel
their subscription.
Q: Are there any fees involved in the program?
A: There are absolutely no costs involved in joining our network and delivering
ad‐supported messages to your readers.
Q: Are these premium messages, costing my readers money?
A: No, all messages delivered through our network are free SMS messages and only
count against subscribers’ monthly message allotment. With the popularity of unlimited
mobile plans, most subscribers don’t even have to worry about message allotment.
Q: I don’t want to lose control of my readers, how am I protected?
A: TxtVox does not request any additional customer information other than the minimum
necessary to deliver a text message. Your subscribers’ data is protected by our
Publisher Agreement and Privacy Policy and TxtVox is committed to preserving your
information with the highest level of care. We do not sell, rent or otherwise make
available any of the names, email addresses or mobile numbers stored in our database.
Q: Can I create separate alerts for my various blogs?
A: Absolutely. After you join as a Publisher, you can create an unlimited number
of "publications" each one representing one of your content channels such as a blog
or newsletter.
Q: Can I leave the network at any time?
A: You are free to join and leave at your convenience. After you close your Publisher
account with us, no more alerts will be sent using your content source.
Q: What kind of advertisements will be displayed with my messages?
A: TxtVox displays ads from leading national advertisers and third party networks
such as Google, AOL and DeckTrade, carefully screened for content. We do not display
adult, MLM or other inappropriate advertisements.
Q: Can I publish my own ads on the TxtVox network?
A: Absolutely. Contact your Publisher Liaison to discuss placement options and costs
involved in running your advertisements in our network. Various ad types are available
including SMS text ads, click‐to‐call ads and WAP page banners and text links.
Q: How will I get paid?
A: We use PayPal for disbursing all of our publisher revenue‐share payments.
Q: When will I get paid?
A: We process and send all payments on the 15th of the each month for the prior
calendar month’s earnings. You can review you earnings and payment history in your
Publisher account.
